Women's health covers far more than a single yearly appointment. Across a lifetime it takes in contraception, cervical screening, fertility and pregnancy, pelvic and menstrual concerns, breast health, bone health and the long transition through perimenopause and menopause. Our GPs treat each of these as a conversation rather than a checklist, and we always have a female GP available for patients who prefer one.

Appointments are private and unhurried. If you are booking for something sensitive or a procedure such as an implant insertion, tell reception when you call so the right length of appointment and the right room can be set aside for you.

What we offer

Most women's health care can be delivered here at the clinic, with pathology collected on site and results reviewed by your own GP.

• Cervical screening tests, including self-collection where appropriate
• Breast health checks and referral for imaging
• Contraception advice, including Implanon and Mirena IUD insertion and removal
• Pregnancy testing, planning and preconception advice
• Antenatal visits and postnatal assessments
• Menstrual, pelvic pain and endometriosis investigation and referral
• Menopause and perimenopause management, including hormone therapy discussion
• Bone density, iron studies and other preventive screening
• Medical Termination of Pregnancy, handled confidentially and without judgement

Screening is the part that saves lives

Cervical screening is now recommended every five years for most women aged 25 to 74, and self-collection has removed a barrier for many patients who put the test off. Breast screening, iron and thyroid checks and cardiovascular risk assessment are just as important and are easy to fold into an appointment you are already having.
