On-Site Pathology in Griffin
4Cyte Pathology collection inside the clinic, Monday to Friday, with results returned to your GP.

Tests taken in the same building
4Cyte Pathology operates a collection room inside Griffin Medical Centre, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. If your GP orders blood tests, you can walk down the corridor and have them taken immediately rather than driving somewhere else on another day. For anyone managing a long-term condition, that convenience is the difference between tests being done and tests being forgotten.
Results come back directly to your GP, who reviews every one of them.
Common tests collected here
Almost everything your GP orders can be collected on site, including:
- Full blood count, iron studies and vitamin levels
- Cholesterol and lipid profiles
- HbA1c and fasting glucose for diabetes monitoring
- Kidney, liver and thyroid function
- Pregnancy and antenatal screening bloods
- Urine, swab and other specimen collection
- Cervical screening sample processing
- INR and other monitoring for patients on regular medication
Fasting, results and follow-up
If your test requires fasting, your GP will tell you. Fasting usually means nothing but water for ten to twelve hours, so an early morning appointment is easiest. Bring your request form and your Medicare card.
Our practice contacts you if a result needs action. If a result is normal and needs no change, we may not call, so please book a follow-up appointment if your GP asked you to, or phone reception if you have not heard and would like to know.
